Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Contacts Cleaners ("the app," "we," "our," or "us") is an iOS application developed and operated by MKB BID. Our support contact is support@contactscleaners.com.

2. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of the Contacts Cleaners iOS application. It does not apply to third-party services, including Apple's App Store, Apple's iCloud service, or any other app on your device.

3. Information we access

To provide its core functionality, Contacts Cleaners requests permission to read and write your device's Contacts database via the iOS Contacts framework (CNContactStore). This permission is required for the app to:

• Scan your contacts for duplicates and incomplete entries
• Calculate your Contact Health Score
• Perform merge, clean, and delete operations you explicitly initiate
• Create local backups before any modification

We access only what is necessary to perform these functions. We do not access your camera, microphone, location, photos, or any other device data.

4. How we process your data

All processing is on-device and local only. Contacts Cleaners operates without a backend server. Your contact data is processed in memory on your iPhone and is never transmitted over a network by our app. We have no infrastructure capable of receiving your data, because none exists.

Backups created by the app before merge or delete operations are stored in your app's private sandboxed storage on-device. They are not accessible to other apps and are deleted when you uninstall the app.

5. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share:

• Your contacts or any contact data
• Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs (IDFA), or IP addresses
• Usage data, session data, or behavioral analytics
• Crash logs or diagnostic data (beyond what Apple may collect per their own policy)
• Location data
• Payment or financial information

Contacts Cleaners contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no tracking libraries of any kind.

6. In-app purchases

The Pro unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see, receive, or store your payment information. For payment-related questions or refund requests, refer to Apple's App Store policies and Apple's Privacy Policy.

7. iCloud and third-party contact accounts

If you have iCloud Contacts, Google Contacts, Exchange, or other accounts configured in iOS Settings → Contacts → Accounts, those contacts are accessible to Contacts Cleaners through the iOS Contacts framework — the same access any iOS contacts app uses. Any changes you make through Contacts Cleaners (merges, edits, deletes) may sync to those external services per their own behavior and iOS's standard sync rules. We do not control that sync. 8. Children's privacy

Contacts Cleaners is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. International users

Because Contacts Cleaners operates entirely on-device with no data transmission, there is no cross-border transfer of your personal data attributable to our app. Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and California may note that our app does not collect personal data and therefore the data minimization, right-to-erasure, and portability provisions of GDPR and CCPA are satisfied by design — there is simply no data held by us to access, correct, or delete.

10. Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, most data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection) are satisfied by default. However, if you have any privacy-related question or concern, you are welcome to contact us at support@contactscleaners.com and we will respond within 30 days.

To delete all app data from your device (including any local backups), uninstall the app. iOS will remove all app-sandboxed storage upon uninstallation.

11. Data retention

We retain no personal data. Local backups created by the app persist in your app's private storage until you delete them in-app or uninstall the app.

12. Security

Because we do not transmit or store your data on any server, traditional server-side security risks do not apply. Your contact data remains within the iOS security sandbox on your device, protected by iOS's built-in encryption and access controls.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice within the app where reasonably practicable. Your continued use of the app after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
